Actions of an Advocate in Pre-trial Investigation of Economic Crimes

On June 24, 2016 ArsLegem’s partner Oleksandr Petrov took part in a practical workshop “Actions of an advocate representing a client in pre-trial investigation of economic crimes”. The main purpose of the workshop was sharing of practical knowledge and experience between practitioners as to effective protection of their clients during pre-trial investigations in relation to tax and other economic crimes.

Special attention was paid to protection of rights and liberties of corporate clients during searches conducted at their offices by law enforcement agencies. The workshop participants simulated certain practical situations that may happen during searches and discussed their experience in resolving of specific issues during search procedures.
