Oleksandr Petrov specialises in dispute resolution, including tax litigation and employment disputes, competition, corporate, and intellectual property. Oleksandr holds a degree in jurisprudence from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. He is admitted to practice law in Ukraine since 2000 and holds an advocate’s license since 2005.

Oleksandr Petrov is practicing law for over 17 years and for more than 14 years he is actively involved in dispute resolution, successfully representing clients at all levels of Ukrainian commercial and administrative courts and the Supreme Court of Ukraine. Prior to founding ArsLegem Oleksandr was a managing partner at the Ukrainian boutique law firm SP Partners. Since 2003 Oleksandr is in private practice and for over 12 years is holding partner positions.  He started his career as an in-house lawyer and for a number of years he was a head of legal department for a large Ukrainian company involved in food production.

Oleksandr participated actively in the work of advisory committees with the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine and National Commission on Securities and Stock Market. He is also a participant of numerous practical forums, seminars and conferences.

Oleksandr successfully represented in courts and state bodies the interests of the large transnational corporations and organization, in particular, International Air Transport Association (ІАТА), Citibank, Philip Morris,  Archer  Daniels Midland (ADM), Cirque du Soleil,  Gedeon Richter, Cargill, IDS Borjomi, Multi, Renaissance Capital, British American Tobacco, Gan & Lee Pharmaceutical, Lafarge Group, Algol, Onduline and others.

Among Ukrainian clients which rely on and cooperate with Oleksandr you may find companies involved in growing and processing of agricultural and livestock products, dairy and food production companies, real estate companies and many others.

Furthermore, Oleksandr has vast work experience in the area of regulatory and licensing procedures with such state bodies as the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, National Bank of Ukraine, National Commission on Securities and Stock Market and many others.
